Charisma Carpenter

Charisma Carpenter, born on July 23rd, 1970 was an American actress. She played Cordelia Chase in the series of supernatural drama Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1997-1999) and its spin-off series Angel (1999-2004). She also appeared as Kyra in Charmed (2004), Kendall Casablanca's in Veronica Mars (2005-2006), Rebecca Sewell in The Lying Game (2012-2013) as well as Lacy in The Expendables film series (2010-2012). Carpenter was born in Las Vegas, Nevada,[disputed - discuss] daughter of Christine who was a bird sanctuary worker as well as Don Carpenter, a salesman. Carpenter has Spanish, French, and German heritage (from her maternal grandfather). Carpenter was a student at Bishop Gorman High School located in Las Vegas. She was also part of a song and dance group that performed in the Las Vegas Valley. Carpenter relocated with her family to Rosario Beach in Baja California, Mexico, at age fifteen. She went to Bonita Vista High School and Chula Vista School of the Creative and Performing Arts. Following graduation, Carpenter traveled throughout Europe. She returned to San Diego and worked in the video store, as an aerobics instructor, property management as well as a clerk. In 1991, she was employed as an official cheerleader for the San Diego Chargers football team. In 1992, she relocated to Los Angeles.While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two male colleagues were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who attempted to subdue them by threatening them with guns. Both Hubbard Jr. and her companions were killed in the fight. Both survived. Hubbard was found guilty and sentenced to 56 years imprisonment for a series rapes, burglaries. Carpenter brought Hubbard his police-issue flashlight on the beach. He had left it at the scene. The flashlight turned out to be an important evidence piece against Hubbard.
