Maureen O'Hara Biography

Maureen O'Hara is a famous American actress and singer, both of Irish descent. The passionate, fiery role she played in numerous American films is what brought attention to the green-eyed beauty. Her beauty and grace were highly praised. Her name was also known as the 'Queen of Technicolor and was a household name in Hollywood. Her character onscreen was a reflection of her brave, strong spirit which fought for survival and recognition in a male-dominated world. She was known as the "tough Irish girl" and was not willing to sacrifice her image or her respect for the roles she was able to get through merit. Throughout her career in the film industry, she always stood up against injustice and improper treatment towards women actors, and for this, she earned a lot of followers. The autobiography 'Tis Herself', written by her", which was released in 2004, provided an honest and honest description of her life's events, as well as her struggle to climb the ladder to success. She was an adventurous lady who wasn't afraid of making her own mistakes. She appeared in over 60 films and gained a great deal of fame internationally. After leaving Parra and her husband, she got married to Charles F. Blair Jr. in 1968. Blair was a brigadier, a chief pilot and a pioneer in transatlantic aviation. After a few years of the couple's marriage, O'Hara made the decision to finally take a break from her career. But her joy was fleeting because Blair was killed in a fatal plane crash in 1978. She was also diagnosed with uterine cancer the same year, and had an immediate procedure. She eventually recovered. The health of her declined throughout her life and she was later diagnosed with six heart attacks short-term memory loss and diabetes mellitus type 2. O'Hara, 95 years aged, passed away peacefully in Boise (Idaho) on 24 October 2015.
